Childhood Scooter Dream

I’ve always wanted a scooter. I used to go to the park and see kids bigger than me do tricks with theirs, and I wanted one too. My parents wouldn’t buy me one and started explaining to me the value of money and how I needed to work for the money required to buy a scooter.

I finally learnt it, and I started doing chores not only for my parents, but for everybody in the neighborhood that asked for any help. It wasn’t as easy as I expected, and the money I got wasn’t much, but I kept doing it. The model I wanted was too expensive for the money I had, so I bought another one.

As I could wait no more, I bought a scooter that wasn’t as expensive as the desired one. I was so proud of it; I wanted to show it to all my friends. They didn’t seem much impressed, but after a few days they agreed to come and see my precious toy. They tried it on, fought about who’s getting the next ride, and suddenly, they all wanted to have one. I gave them the best advice, and now, everybody in my group has its own scooter.

That was just the start. They came to me for advice, and even when they needed some small fixes to their scooters. In no time I had the money for my dream scooter: the Fuzion Asphalt Ultimate Carving Scooter, the best scooter ever made. That was exactly what I needed for trying those tricks I used to envy the older kids for. My scooter became the star of the neighborhood kids, and I was really proud of it. Nobody had a scooter like mine, or could do the thing I could do with it.

Now I spend all my time at the park, doing tricks with my new scooter, and showing off to my friends. It isn’t as difficult as I had originally thought, and I’m very happy to use something I bought with my own money. My parents are pleased with me as well, and say I’ve earned it.
