AMERICAN swimmer Katie Hoff has broken Australian Stephanie Rice’s world record in the 400m individual medley at the US Olympic swimming trials in Omaha, Nebraska. Hoff clocked 4:31.12 to win the final, bettering the mark of 4:31.46 set by Rice set
